Tonight I am distracted. Joy was in the lead until a bad conversation and an email about an acquaintance came out of nowhere. Determined not to fall asleep downhearted, I began thinking about these people. And then i thought of all of the people whose names came up in conversations today. They seemed like characters in a story at the time, but now I remember that they are real people, living real stories.
So tonight I'm praying for healing: Healing relationships and words between friends; healing bodies and emotions; healing for hearts heavy with loss, for minds littered with decisions to make... I believe we all need a little healing somewhere in our lives and the good news is this, "If our God is for us, then who could ever stop us, and if our God is with us, then what can stand against? Our God is greater, our God is stronger, God You are higher than any other, our God is Healer, Awesome in power, our God."**
May the healing hands of Jesus and the Holy Spirit cover us all tonight.
